Installments Criteria

The installments are released after every four months and are sent directly to the bank which should be named the same as the farmer or the head of the family. The Period of Payments are

First Installment: April-July

Second Installment: August-November

Third Installment: December-March

  • Land Ownership Requirement: Beneficiaries holding land of a minimum of 2 hectares (4.9 acres) for cultivation in the records of the state and union territory.
  • Family of Farmer: Family belonging to weaker sections and consisting of husband, wife, and minor children below the age of 18 years.
  • Farmer Classification: The PM-Kisan scheme covers all farmer families, including those belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). It applies to farmers from all states and union territories of India.
